What you can do to find an old report or resolution

by Infocouncil Team | Monday 15th April, 2024 | Tips & Tricks

From time-to-time you may be requested to find a report or resolution from several years ago, and don’t have enough information to find it via the Document Menu Advanced Search function.

Did you know that Infocouncil has a very powerful search functionality from the Actions screen? It not only searches across the title of report, but also the first 1000 characters in the resolution field.

Here are the steps to follow.

Bear in mind that generally, you will be provided with some information about the report or resolution which can be entered into a field on the Actions listing screen.

  1. Ensure the following criteria has been selected in the Include section at the top of the window: - For Action - Information Only - Open - Confidential - Outstanding - Completed/Acknowledged

  2. There is no need to have any other criteria selected, selecting more criteria will reduce the search results.

  3. In the Title or Resolution field, enter a keyword which may be in the title or the resolution of the report, in the image below, the word ‘nothing’ has been entered.

  4. The search results found one action meeting the criteria, notice that the word ‘nothing’ is not in the title of the report.

  5. Click on the Details button to view the details of the resolution, the word ‘nothing’ is contained within the resolution of the item. The Details view also provides the meeting information if a copy of the report is required.
